Just like everyone, we have had to make adjustments during this challenging situation. We are committed to the health, safety, and welfare of our community and must do our part to alleviate the spread of this significant health risk, but our emergency response is unaffected.

Fire Protection and EMS

Our volunteers are on duty just like always. Procedures for fire protection and accident calls are unchanged. On medical calls, our First Responders have been instructed to take extra precautions regarding protective gear (gloves, masks, etc.) and limit the number of personnel inside homes at one time. This is will help us lessen any risk of infection to you and us.

Meetings and Monthly Breakfast

Unfortunately, the regular training and business meetings are suspended until further notice, as is the monthly VFD breakfast at the fire station. We will continue to provide updates via this website and our other public information outlets as things change.

Fundraisers and Events

The status of our major events and annual fundraisers is being continuously reviewed in light of changing circumstances. The Annual BBQ and the Sip and Stroll have both been cancelled for 2020. The upcoming Golf Tournament, normally held in April, has been postponed until September 12 and remains tentative, as is the Bass Tournament scheduled for October 17.

We rely on these events for a significant portion of the funding that allows us to continue providing emergency medical response and fire protection. Cancellation has a serious impact, making your generosity toward our Annual Giving Campaign even more important.
